Beachcomber Weddings

For the last 3 years guests getting married at the Beachcomber Hotels have had the option of choosing a Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen designed gazebo to get married in. As the hotels themselves have improved their wedding locations so the demand for the gazebos has dropped to such an extent that they are now rarely used. We will therefore be phasing the gazebos out through 2012. 

We will still be able to offer a LLB Gazebo for existing 2012 wedding bookings but please note all new bookings for weddings in 2012 will no longer automatically get the choice of one of LLB gazebos. Please make all staff aware and please do let us know if you have existing bookings who expressed a desire to use one of these gazebos.

Sainte Anne Resort & Spa

Sainte Anne Resort & Spa will be fully all inclusive (like Shandrani).  Sales for Sainte Anne are 60% up with the new all inclusive package, so it has already been a huge hit. Details of the package here>.

Shandrani Resort & Spa

Reminder - The all inclusive package at Shandrani includes free champagne from 6pm.

Kitesurfing – the kite surfing school has moved and will now be offered as an excursion rather than a paying activity within the resort.  All bookings can still be made at the boat house.  Pascal Bosquet, who ran the school at Shandrani runs his own kite surfing school which is based a short boat ride from Shandrani at Pointe d’Esny (just around the corner from Blue Bay itself).  Costs for a lesson including boat transfer, and equipment – approximately £55.  Best time for kite surfing is May through September.

Trou Aux Biches Resort & Spa

The resort is looking fantastic and the feedback from guests continues to be hugely positive a quick reminder of what the hotel has to offer:

We have improved the old Half-board Plus package at Paradis and Trou Aux Biches for 2012 and re-branded it to Full Board Plus.  The new name better reflects the extensive inclusions of the package.  Have a look at the fact sheets,

Fishing In Mauritius

Paradis no longer has it's own fleet of deep sea fishing boats we now work with the team at Black River Charters for our fishing trips from Paradis and Dinarobin.  They will either pick guests up from the Paradis jetty or arrange a 10 minute transfer by road.  Details of our fishing from the peninsula can be found on our new mini-site fishmauritius.co.uk.  To keep the costs of the fishing itself down the fishing trips are non-commissionable.

New Projects in Mauritius

We are building a new golf course in the north of the island at Le Goulet – which is 15 minutes drive from Grande Baie and Trou Aux Biches so will be perfect for our northern hotels.  It will be a par 72 course, is set to open late 2013 and will be available to guests staying at any Beachcomber Hotel.
