At Beachcomber Tours we specialises in the paradise islands of Mauritius and the Seychelles situated within the Indian Ocean.
Beachcomber UK was established in 1988 and our small team of dedicated experts have regularly visited our resorts, enabling them to offer friendly first hand advice on choosing the right resort for your needs. The Beachcomber Hotel collection was started in Mauritius, and now consists of 8 hotels. The Royal Palm, Dinarobin and Paradis are our Flagship properties. Shandrani and Trou Aux Biches are the Deluxe Plus hotels, and Le Victoria, Le Mauricia and Le Canonnier are our three deluxe hotels. Sainte Anne Resort in the Seychelles is our newest hotel and is located on it’s own private island just off Mahe.
Since its inception Beachcomber UK has broadened its portfolio to take in a variety of destinations either in their own right or as a combination with Mauritius. With the opening of Sainte Anne Resort, we offer a fabulous stay put resort or a base for the island hopping for which Seychelles is so famous. For prompt friendly advice on any of the above destinations or hotels please do not hesitate to contact us.

Overall, we thought it was really good holiday, great resort and great value. We would have no hesitation recommending Mauritius or the Shandrani to anyone.
Location:
Very easy transfer
Close to motorway to get to other end of island
Some issues with being flight path - I had no problems and there were few flights a day, so quite exciting, but the odd flight in the middle of the night.
Resort Layout
Excellent, spaced out and never crowded
3 very different beaches, all with lots of space on them. Great to have 3 totally different beach styles / locations
Well laid out resort
Rooms
Our rooms were excellent - spacious, clean, quality furnishing in bedroom and bathroom
Cleaning service was perfect - new towels when we wanted, room always spotless
Restaurants
Quality of food overall was outstanding
Good variety with 3 restaurants and good variety in each - never felt bored with the choice
Generally friendly staff - especially the “managers” at Boucanier and Vecchio, who got to know us and made us welcome every night
Sirius - location is the best next to the sea, food innovatively presented, staff not so friendly (but not unfriendly)
Boucanier - best food, stylish presentation, and top quality service, but shame no sea views,
Vecchio - good for lunch location next to pool, fresh fish at lunch were great, friendly manager
Buffet - food was always fresh, good quality and variety, but obviously less presentation and views
All wines were very good
Bars - comfy location, and nice surroundings … but overall service was slow, as it was for drinks at Vecchio and buffet. Problem was not a lack of staff, but a lack of coordination. No clear idea who was looking after you, and just took too long. Not unfriendly - just inefficient
We had no problems getting into restaurants as we booked 2-3 days ahead, but I know some people were frustrated at the restaurants being booked up
Sports
Very good range and quality
Loved the par 3 golf - tough and varied for a small course, and in good condition
Gym had good variety of machines
Spa was top quality surrounding - Kate enjoyed a few treatments
Tom and Alex liked the diving, but there could have been more variety in the dives - they did the tunnel dives most days. Dive staff were very friendly - boys really like them all
Sailing was OK, but some lessons offered to beginners would have been helpful. OK if you are an experienced sailor
Cycling was disappointing that we had to pay to go on a 3 hour trip. We all felt this should have been included, as it worked out at about £40 for a family for just a bike ride. On other activity holidays we have been on, these are included.
Snorkelling and glass bottom boat were very good visibility and easy to get on.
Overall, with planning, we were able to get on everything we wanted
Staff
All staff were very friendly - reception, sports, bar, restaurants, service etc.. a very friendly hotel (and island)
Value
We though the All Inclusive was great value and what was included was good quality
So, hope this helps, but we really enjoyed it, and look forward to returning to Mauritius again !
