A day at the races – Mauritius

If you can drag yourself away from the beautiful beaches of our resorts in Mauritius and you fancy something different, then a day at the races is for you. The Champ de Mars racecourse is home to the Mauritius Turf Club which was founded in 1812, making it the oldest horse-racing club in the southern hemisphere and one of the oldest in the world.

Crown Lodge is a private steward suite converted to allow tourists to have an unobstructed view of the finish line and ‘the paddock’. The lodge is located on the VIP balcony next to the Mauritius Turf Club president’s lodge. Read the rest of this entry »

The CLA Game Fair – 2010

Once again our ‘beach’ at the Game Fair at Ragley Hall attracted many visitors. Whilst the children built sand castles and the dogs took a much needed break from the hot sun, we chatted to their parents about Mauritius and Seychelles. As usual it was great to see our repeat customers especially those that have recently been married on the island.

If you missed us this year, we’ll be at next year’s CLA Game Fair at Blenheim Palace 22 – 24 July 2011.
