Those heading off on a Mauritius holiday on Air Mauritius from 24 November take note, Air Mauritius will be moving to Heathrow Terminal 4 from their current home of Terminal 3.

The last flight to/from Terminal 3 will be MK046/MK057 on 22nd November

The first flight to/from Terminal 4 will be MK046/MK057 on 24th November

Most clients arriving from UK regional airports will be able to check their luggage all the way through to Mauritius and will be transferred between terminals airside.

For those who have not got luggage checked all the way through to/from Mauritius we sent Debs and Josi, our intrepid reservation team explorers, to experience first hand the challenges of getting between the terminals. The good news being that it is all very straight forward and free!

Here’s their findings

Terminal 1 to 5

From the UK arrivals exit turn right and the lifts can be found on the right hand side, take the lift to the Heathrow Express and make your way to the train signed for Terminal 5. The whole journey will take about 15 minutes including the walk to the train. Trains run every 15 minutes or so.

Terminal 5 – 1

From the arrivals hall take the lift down to the Heathrow Express, opposite the Airport Information kiosk and Taxi sign.  Take the train to Terminal 1, trains run every 15 minutes.  From the train the walk to Terminal 1 is about 3 – 5 minutes.

Terminal 1 – 4

From the UK arrivals exit turn right and the lifts can be found on the right hand side, take the lift to the Heathrow Express and make your way to the train signed for Terminal 4.  It’s a short walk to the train, 3 minutes on the train and the total travelling time is about 10 minutes.  Again trains run every 15 minutes or so.

Terminal 4 – 1

Lifts are at the far end of the arrival hall for the Heathrow Express, take the train to Terminal 1 in reverse as above.

Terminal 4 – 5

The best way is to take the bus between these terminals. From bus stop 7 take either Bus No 482 (every 30 minutes) or Bus No 490 (every 10 – 13 minutes).  The journey follows the normal route between these terminals and takes about 15 minutes.
