Situated in the district of Black River in the south west, Casela has 14 hectares which are home to 1500 birds, zebras, giant tortoises, monkeys and many other animals. If you are looking for some adventure on Mauritius then Casela is the place. Quad biking is an exciting and fun way to explore this beautiful part of the island and for those who just want to take it easy can try a segway. As from the 31st of October 2011 British Airways will operate all of its flights to Mauritius from London Gatwick. British Airways will operate overnight flights in both directions which is great for family holidays. You will still have the great choice of World Traveller, World Traveller Plus and Club cabins onboard all Gatwick flights. There is also change to the days of operation of the new flights from Gatwick allowing you to enjoy more of your Mauritius holiday.
Below is the new timetable which takes effect from 31 October 2011.
London Gatwick – Mauritius Mon | Thu | Sat 20H30 – 12H25*
Mauritius – London Gatwick Tue | Fri | Sun 21H05 – 05H20*
* Denotes the flight arrives the following day
Those heading off on a Mauritius holiday on Air Mauritius from 24 November take note, Air Mauritius will be moving to Heathrow Terminal 4 from their current home of Terminal 3.
The last flight to/from Terminal 3 will be MK046/MK057 on 22nd November
The first flight to/from Terminal 4 will be MK046/MK057 on 24th November
Most clients arriving from UK regional airports will be able to check their luggage all the way through to Mauritius and will be transferred between terminals airside.
For those who have not got luggage checked all the way through to/from Mauritius we sent Debs and Josi, our intrepid reservation team explorers, to experience first hand the challenges of getting between the terminals. The good news being that it is all very straight forward and free!
