Honeymoon Ideas

Beachcomber has a proud history of excellent Tailor Made honeymoons with something to suit all tastes and budgets. We are extremely lucky to have very knowledgeable staff that have visited, and often lived in the destinations we offer. We are very aware that your honeymoon is an extremely personal choice and each couple are unique with different opinions about what will make the perfect honeymoon.

We have put together a few ideas for you to start with – but remember these are not set in stone; we can tailor any of our holidays to meet your needs and budget. City Nights and Musandam Seclusion

Day 1 – Arrive in Dubai and transfer to the Park Hyatt You will spend 3 nights at this luxury retreat next to the world famous Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club. We would suggest upgrading to a Creek view rooms so you can enjoy views of the beautiful creek. In a great location you can spend 3 nights soaking up the hustle and bustle of Dubai, enjoy its world class shopping, fantastic restaurants, bars and entertainment or simply lie by the pool and soak up some sunshine. If you would prefer to be by the beach why not try the Ritz-Carlton?
Day 4 – Transfers by road to the Six Senses Hideaway at Zighy Bay where you will spend 7 nights enjoying indulgent seclusion at its best. After the buzz of Dubai city, it is time for the tranquility and beauty of Oman’s Musandam peninsula. The route to Zighy Bay is stunning – you travel through mountain roads before it opens up to the beautiful bay. The all-villa accommodation is perfect for honeymooners wanting to hideaway after the stress and excitement of your wedding! . For honeymooners we would suggest upgrading to a Spa Pool Villa where you can enjoy spa treatments in the privacy of your own villa.
Day 11 – Return to Dubai for your flight back to the UK.

Eastern Cape Safari, Bustling Cape Town and Dubai Beach

Day 1 – Arrive into Johannesburg and take a connecting flight to Port Elizabeth. Pick up your car and drive out to Lalibela Game Reserve where you will spend 3 nights enjoying fantastic game viewing, stunning scenery and great service. For honeymooners we would suggest staying at Tree Tops tented camp which is set high on platforms with unrivalled views and privacy.
Day 4 – Drive back to Port Elizabeth and fly to Cape Town where you will pick up your car and drive towards Table Mountain where you will spend 2 nights in the small boutique hotel, Four Rosmead. This is great for honeymooners who want to be close to the hustle and bustle of Cape Town City but far enough away to be able to take in the stunning mountain views and just relax before flying off to Dubai.
Day 6 – Wake up and spend the day at leisure sampling more of the great attractions Cape Town has to offer before returning the car at Cape Town airport and flying overnight to Dubai.
Day 7 – Arrive into Dubai airport and take your private transfer to Le Royal Meridien Resort & Spa where you will spend 5 nights in the heart of the action on Jumeirah Beach. Shop in the world famous Emirates shopping mall, sample one of the many types of cuisine on offer or take a trip out to the dunes and experience a thrilling 4x4 desert safari. You could even learn to ski if you wanted……
Day 12 – Transfer back to Dubai airport for your flight home!

Beautiful Beaches and City Chic

Day 1 – Arrive at Mauritius airport transfer up to the North of the Island and arrive at Le Canonnier. You will spend 7 nights at this great value hotel in an idyllic setting that has recently been completely renovated to an excellent standard. You have so much choice at this hotel, just flop on the beach or take a trip into lively Grande Baie to sample some local bars and restaurants.
Day 8 – Spend the day relaxing before taking a shared minibus back to Mauritius Airport for your overnight flight to Dubai.
Day 9 – Arrive at Dubai Airport. From here you will transfer through the city and over the creek to the famous Jumeirah Beach. You will spend 4 nights at the Mina A Salam within the fantastic Madinat Jumeirah resort. To get around the resort you can walk or take one of the gondolas that float around the resorts waterways. Shop in the resorts souk, sample one of the many types of cuisine on offer or take a trip out to the dunes and experience a thrilling 4x4 desert safari.
Day 13 – Transfer back to Dubai Airport for your flight home.

Day 1 – Arrive at Mauritius Airport where you will take a short transfer to Shandrani Resort & Spa where you will spend 10 nights enjoying the best all inclusive 5* hotel on the island. From the moment you check in you will not need to sign for anything! French champagne, fantastic wine, international branded drinks and world-class cuisine is all included. Try out the new spa and enjoy your free massage where you will have a choice of 7 different types of massages!
Day 11 – spend your final day on the beach and make the most of your all-inclusive package until you depart around 7pm for the short journey to the airport for your overnight flight to Dubai.
Day 12 – Arrive into Dubai early morning and transfer by road to the Emirates Al Maha. What could be more romantic that having the dramatic Arabian desert at your doorstep? Day 15 – Return to Dubai for your flight back to the UK.

The Garden Route, City Life and a Tranquil Hideaway

Day 1 – Arrive in Johannesburg and take a connecting flight to George in the Heart of the Garden Route. Collect your car and take the short drive to Plettenburg Bay where you will spend 2 nights at The Plettenburg, a prestigious property with breathtaking views of the Ocean. For your honeymoon we would suggest upgrading to a sea view as the panoramic ocean views will be a great start to your honeymoon!
Day 3 – Take a leisurely drive to Outshoorn where you will stay at Altes Landhaus, a typical Cape Dutch style property cradled in the lush Schoemanshoek valley. This is a great base to explore the area – visit one of the many Ostrich farms and a must is the Cango Caves or just relax by the pool and take in the stunning views.
Day 5 – Drive to Swellendam for 1 night at Mardouw House. The small boutique hotel is perfect for honeymooners wanting individual service and attention.
Day 6 – Take the short drive to Cape Town and spend 2 nights at the Cape Grace Hotel, a favourites with honeymooners. Its superb waterfront location, charming interiors and informal yet attentive service ensure this is a great choice for your honeymoon. Sample some of the restaurants and bars in the V&A waterfront, take the cable car to the top of Table Mountain or take a drive through some of Cape Town’s pretty suburbs.
Day 7 – Drive to Cape Town airport, drop off your car and catch your flight to Dubai.
Day 8 - Arrive into Dubai early morning and transfer by road to Six Senses Hideaway at Zighy Bay, located in the Musandam peninsula in the Sultanate of Oman, for 6 nights. The route to Zighy Bay takes you over a spectacular mountain road before swooping down into the resort. For an added experience you could even choose to paraglide down to the resort! The all-villa accommodation allows you to literally hide away in complete seclusion, with a 24-hour personal butler and your own infinity-edged pool.
Day 14 – Return to Dubai for your flight back to the UK.
