Things To Do
The Middle East is packed full of activities to suit every individual. Of course many of our honeymooners will choose not to leave their resorts and simply relax on the beach or by the pool and let all the stress and excitement of the wedding preparations and the big day slowly wash away. For those who want to venture outside the resort and see/take part in some cultural, sporting and entertainment activities we have put together a list of some of the activities available in the Middle East.
Abu Dhabi
Heritage Village
The village is situated in the middle of Abu Dhabi and is a living exhibition of the lifestyle and traditions of Bedouin and other culture's. This is a great activity for all the family as you will get a chance to see and learn about the Bedouin culture.
Al Ain Museum
Located within Al Jahili fort, the nation's largest museum is divided into ethnological and historical sections. Interesting displays include Bedouin artifacts, archaeological excavations of 2700 BC, 500 BC stone instruments and relics dug up from Fossil Valley.
Al Ain Zoo and Aquarium
The 1969 zoo houses an extremely large and varied collection of wildlife from all over the world.
Dubai
Desert Activities
There are many Desert activities available from an exhilarating 4x4 experience to a tranquil picnic for two. You could even choose to spend one of your nights on honeymoon sleeping under a canopy of stars!
Wild Wadi
Located next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Wild Wadi offers thrill-seekers and families hours of fun. Attractions include Log River, Ring Ride, Flood River, Wave Pool, Flow Rides, Lazy River and much more.
Emirates Mall
This is a favourite with most of our honeymooners! Most brides will be more than excited to spend a few hours browsing through some of the most fashionable brands in the world!
Ski Dubai Snow Park
The world’s largest Snow Park. Lying on 3000 square meters of snow. You could choose to try tobogganing, take a bobsled ride, have a snowball fight or enjoy the snow cavern filled with interactive experiences.
Oman
Turtle Watching
The best time of year to do this is May-June. You can watch baby turtles on there long journey towards the open sea. It is estimated that over 20,000 turtles come ashore every year to breed on the very beach where they saw their first rays of light.
Desert Activities
Enjoy ‘dune bashing’, camel rides, desert picnics or even stay overnight in a traditional Bedouin camp and sleep under a roof of starry skies and enjoy the once in a lifetime experience with traditional Arabic barbecue meal, henna hand painting, Omani coffee and dates.
Dolphin Trips
This is one of the most popular activities in Oman. You have a chance to see common dolphins, the acrobatic Spinner and the powerful Bottlenose. You may see other types of dolphins as well and if luck permits, even whales!
Snorkeling
This is a great experience. The waters surrounding Muscat attract a wide variety of marine life and are perfect for snorkeling.
